Cinema Cnema
The transformation of the old buildings at Norrköping’s industrial landscape into modern premises with a quite different use is continuing. At Klövern’s property Kopparhammaren 7, one of the buildings will be converted into the Municipality of Norrköping’s cinema Cnema in 2010.

This property is around 4,800 sq.m., of which the cinema will take up about 1,000 sq.m. The remaining part of the property is being converted for various purposes, mainly for companies associated with the field visualization centre field such as Gaia and Effektfabriken. The cinema is expected to open in December 2010 and the other spaces to be completed in early 2011.

At the adjacent property, Akademiska Hus has now completed a visualization centre. Visualiseringscenter C is a meeting place for visualization, a result of close collaboration between the Municipality of Norrköping, Linköping University, Norrköping Science Park and the Interactive Institute. The centre also contains a dome theatre offering you an experience of being surrounded by sound and images. Travel in space through the body of an astronaut, or go down into the depths of the sea or take a breathtaking flight around the world. 

Self-produced and international material is shown on the dome-shaped screen. The Dome Theatre at Visualiseringscenter C is northern Europe’s most modern and technologically most advanced facility.
