Our business and the environment
Klövern is a real estate company that with availability and commitment shall meet the customer’s needs of premises and services in Swedish growth regions.
Our important environmental aspects* are within the following areas:
1. Energy and water consumption
2. Suppliers and purchases
3. Chemicals – Suppliers, purchases and consumption
4. Waste – Handling of waste and hazardous waste
5. Vehicles, business travel and transportation
6. Experience and knowledge
Our environmental ambition
Klövern shall contribute to a long-term sustainable environmental development by offering environmentally compliant premises, managed and developed with the minimum possible use of resources and the least possible environmental impact on the basis of reasonable inputs.
Targeted environmental work, integrated with our operations, takes place continuously in order to reduce the negative impact on the environment and to achieve steady improvements. Current legislation and environmental requirements, together with the environmental policy and action plan, serve as the basis for this work involving personnel and tenants as well as suppliers and entrepreneurs.
Our guidelines
To minimize our environmental impact and achieve our environmental aims, we shall:
1. Continue our work with efficiency improvements of energy and water consumption through trained and committed personnel and efficiency measures.
2. Make demands on our suppliers and give priority to those complying with our environmental requirements.
3. Actively look for environmentally compliant alternatives when selecting materials.
4. Contribute to a more efficient ecocycle of products by continued sorting at source and also facilitate sorting at source by our customers and suppliers.
5. Work to reduce the amount of transportation and travel.
6. Inform, train and encourage commitment among all personnel in active, structured and systematic environmental work which prevents pollution and is continuously improved.
This environmental policy was adopted by Klövern on 21 November 2011 and was originally drawn up on 15 February 2008.
